Two fishing buddies, Big brother and some fish stew. BAITS AND HOOKS is a black comedy inspired by the style oft he Czech New Wave about how two workers of an old factory face the transition from socialism to capitalism. A short and sweet film about friendship and cooking but also about a generation of workers who have to deal with the changed system.
Director Biography - Luka Popadić
BIOFILMOGRAPHY LUKA POPADIĆ February 2015 Luka Popadić was born in 1980 of Serbian parents and grew up in Baden, Switzerland. After studying political science in Zurich, he enrolled at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade as a film director, and earned his M.A. in 2014. During his studies, he made films that have been shown at more than 70 festivals around the world (a.o. Vision du Reel, Tampere, Max Ophüls ) and awarded more than 20 times (The Golden Medal of Belgrade, Bronze Egg at the Küstendorf Film Festival, the Audience Award in Beijing). Upon graduation, he worked as an assistant to Želimir Žilnik in Serbia and Africa and he conducted an acting workshop in Belgrade with Scott Fielding. He is currently preparing the production of his first feature film.
