Synopsis:
Boomers is a dramedy about a baby boomer unable to let go of his past, decides to navigate his mid-life crisis by going back to the place where it all started, home.
Our Review:
We fond the screenplay of Boomers to be a very genuine and original, all the while keeping the reader gripping on what's next. A simple family narrative, that oscillates between lost love in a family and often visiting feelings of hate, among 2 brothers and their parents. Gordy, with his midlife crisis, goes back and forth with his affection toward both his brother and father. The father's character is also sculpt well as a typical father who is scarce with appreciation, especially to sons but with an ever supportive mother, who seems to be the glue holding them altogether. The monotony of midlife, desperation to revive a broken marriage, a secret identity that has been covered for too long, come back of a childhood love and the dynamics of a family were all refreshing parts of the story. Overall a great screenplay to read!
