Synopsis
Four bank robbers have their plans ruined when they come across an insensitive preteen boy.
Our Review
Doggy Bag by Quinn Friedman thrives on its brilliant screenplay, which balances clever dialogue with absurd yet believable situations. The robbers, initially composed and professional, quickly unravel in the face of the boy’s relentless questions, brutal honesty, and total lack of fear. The cinematography and editing play a huge role in enhancing the comedic effect. Fast cuts, exaggerated reaction shots, and perfectly timed pauses elevate the humor, while the soundtrack complements the escalating madness with playful, mischievous undertones. However, the real scene-stealer is the preteen boy, whose complete lack of concern and razor-sharp comebacks make him both infuriating and hilarious.
