Synopsis:
By 1994, all of the movie theaters, peep shows, adult bookstores, and fast food restaurants on Forty Second Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue were closed down because of the Forty-Second Street Redevelopment Project. Or, were they?
Our Review:
This script is based of some facts and history and it did kindle the interest to google about the 42nd street - its then and now.
It gives us an insight into how livelihood of so many has been affected by policies and situations that are not in any ones hands. Development is essential and there is no doubt about it. But in the process, many peoples hardships for years goes down the drain. It exposes how small business communities have been left behind in the race for globalization. Uncle John, his creativity, his passion for theater, the bustling life of the under ground market in all its crazy, chaotic glory is something unbelievable to imagine.
An excellent script but very ambitious project for a short film. Good luck.
